How To Disciple Someone Through Sexual Identity

It is an impossible task to discuss a topic we do not understand. First, let's talk about how we got here and where this came from.

In the 50's the identity of the strong masculine man empowered by other masculine men was the norm. Women were considered to be housewives with little sexual control while men were introduced to Playboy in the 50s. The dominance in male roles was at an incline even amongst homosexuality over 37% of males have experienced homosexual experiences while women it was 13%. There was much of a Sodom and Gomorrah theology that men were the more profound creatures and therefore male relationships and approval were more at the forefront. The first sex modification surgery is performed to take a female to a male.

In the late fifties to early sixties, we were the middle of the Rock N Roll evolution. We embraced fanaticism. Empowered by the fantasies of stay-at-home women living out their sexual desires that were not permitted. The ideas that drove people to extreme natures as rioting, assassinations, and civil rights political division were all fueled by repression. We gave individualism to sexual identity in 1960 when we produced the birth control pill.

In the 1970's we saw women's liberation marches and the first gay pride parade. The norm had changed. Most individuals had now experienced sex before marriage. In New York, 1970, they approved the first legalized abortion in which Planned Parenthood offered the services in Syracuse, NY.

In 1981 the discovery of the AIDS epidemic caused by HIV in homosexual men was identified. In the late 80s to early 90s we saw a rapid rise in child sex crimes due to the daycare media coverage. Over 1 million cases of child maltreatment were reported nationwide just in the year between 1979 and 1980. Rape culture comes to the joking forefront of the most iconic 80's movies. The modeling industry comes to the forefront of the conversation about rape culture.
In the 90s, in fear of the new evolving sexually transmitted diseases, a spark of evangelical motion to embrace the "purity pledge." This pledge of abstinence spreads as well as becomes the mainstream as a "cult-like, judgment lifestyle." Madonna counters with Human Nature, Erotica, and S&M. The idea of individualized sexualize takes hold in the safety of disease and a configuration of pleasure.

By 1990 non-binary was coined. Also embraced in 1990 are the following:
List of Two-Spirit Indigenous terms:
● Aleut: “Man who has transformed into Woman”
● Blackfoot: “A man who acts like a woman”
● Cree: “A man who dresses like a woman”
● Crow: “A word that describes trans women and male homosexuals”
● Lakota: “Wants to be like a woman”
● Navajo: “One who changes”
● Ojibwe: “Man who chooses to function as a woman.”
● Zuni: “Men who at sometimes, may take on the ceremonial and social roles typically undertaken by women in some Native American tribes.”Modern Zapotec people in Mexico can typically be seen embracing a third-gender role named Muxe.

In the early 2000s, we see a huge embodiment of virginity identity. This concept is that the loss of virginity only comes through intercourse. We see a rise in sexual experimentation due to ignorance.

By 2014, the legalization of same-sex identity and marriage takes hold.

In 2016, We see a dramatic spike in sex trafficking.

Human trafficking reports up 871% since 2015.

By 2017, we see the first papers released on the acceptance of the terms They/Them. This term is familiar to Christians in the biblical Context of:
Mark 5:9 (the demon-possessed man)
Then Jesus demanded, “What is your name?”
And he replied, “My name is Legion because there are many of us inside this man.”
What does it all mean?

As you can see above there is a progression of demonic spiritualism. There is an embodiment of unnatural spiritual and ritual involvement that dates back to Hindi body mutilation and Native American spirit quests.

So how do we even begin to approach these topics?
If you truly observe the cultural trends you will see there never is a shift from community mindset. Even in the pursuit of individualized sexualize, it is a part of the culture of that era. In today's era, children will never know life outside of technology. They lack the community involvement of past generations. They long to stand out in the noise but look for inclusion within social groups. They need to have a title or name to be included with the bi group, furies, athletics, and such.

How can we tackle the topic?
We can affirm what we know of God's creation, that we know he says "It is not good for man to be alone." Gen 2:18

We can create a community that endorses all that God has created. As you can see Satan does his best to destroy creation, from conception to humanity. We can define not the "cultural" aspects of purity but the Sanctification process to purity. When we condemn there is a sense of hopelessness when we redirect we can encourage growth. It is like correcting a child, we don't just say what not to do we must tell them what TO DO.

Steer clear from language that sounds like "you must stop this or that." Stopping isn't something an addict or identified person can just do. We must redirect them so that a change can be long-term and effective. Discuss less about why they identify or who they identify as. Focus on what God created them for Sanctification toward perfection. Give them a new goal and direction. They support them with the community to encourage the transitional process. They then will see this as a positive change because most sexually identified people do not see themselves as needing change or help. They have support, friends, and a community that embraces their common confusion and dislike of the commons.
